FormTab and iOS15: Using Live Text for fast, error-free data entry

FormTab has been updated to support many of the new features in iOS15. One of our favourite features is Live Type for making data entry faster and more efficient than ever.

Live Text uses your device’s camera to recognise text in the real world and allows you to interact with it as if they were typed characters.

FormTab takes this further by integrating Live Text with its built-in field types allowing you to use your camera to quickly fill in Addresses, Emails and URLs. You can even scan blocks of text to dramatically speed up data entry when using FormTab.

Long press on a Text, Email, Address or URL field to show the Scan menu

If the camera detects appropriate data, it will be highlighted for insertion

If you are using a compatible iPhone or iPad, upgrade to iOS15 and download the latest version of FormTab to make data entry the easiest it’s ever been.
